This video celebrates the 2025 launch of the Soul Healing Heroes Internship Program in partnership with Santa Ana College’s Nursing & Medical Sciences Department—a powerful collaboration dedicated to ending senior isolation and loneliness.

Soul Healing Heroes, created by SoulRapha, is a transformative internship that equips students with the tools, knowledge, and compassion needed to care for our aging population. Through storytelling, mentorship, and direct engagement with older adults, students gain a deeper understanding of the aging crisis and the power of empathy in healthcare.

The goal is more than service—it’s long-term systemic change. By educating and empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals and advocates, SoulRapha is working to build a culture of dignity, connection, and compassion for all older adults.

Celebrating 20 Years of SoulRapha: Ending Senior Isolation!

SoulRapha marked it’s 20th anniversary with an incredible intimate gala event in the home of Tom and Debbie Britton! Over 20 amazing individuals came together to learn more about the pressing issues of senior isolation and loneliness in our community, and we couldn't be more grateful for the support.

The event included food, wine, live jazz music, Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Musical Theater student guest appearance and a special performance by Dancer4Joy. Pastor Dave Mitchell, Board Chariman and Chaplain Heather Riley, Executive Director shed light on the devastating health impact of senior isloation and loneliness - the effects are as deadly as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. In addition, they highlighted inspiring success stories from older adults SoulRapha has served.

This event is a testament to SoulRapha’s journey of compassion, love, and hope for a better future for our older adults. Let's continue connecting seniors to love in Orange County.
